My dad was a special person to many people and I believe I can speak for everyone when I say that his sudden departure left all of us with an empty place in our hearts. Despite his fondess of throwing temper tantrums, my dad was a funloving person with a laid back attitude. He genuinely cared about other people to the fullest and showed it. Growing up, he never missed anything in my life. He attended every game, every concert, every birthday, and made every holiday special. When my daughter was born, he made sure to drive 10 hours to greet her into the world with me. I will always remember the good times I had with him. Everything from learning to roller skate in my youth to tequila shooting contests in my adulthood. No matter what I wore, what color my hair was, or my newest crazy perspectives on life, he loved me. I will always remember him as the best dad ever, and I am so glad that he was MY dad.
